I only recently tried making my own pie crusts. I was amazed at how easy it was! I hope you enjoy this recipe and bake up a storm!

  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c
    cold butter
  • 6to 8 Tbsp
    ice water

How to Make Basic and easy pie crust


  1. Combine flour and salt.
  2. Cut in butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add water while mixing until it forms a ball.
  4. Divide in half.
  5. Roll out one half until it fits in a 9-inch pie dish.
  6. When placed in dish as base of pie, trim edge with knife.
  7. Roll out second half of dough for the top.
