This recipe is from a cookbook my mother put together for our church when I was 9 or 10. These recipes are from all the old grannies that my mother grew up with, so you know they're good! I can't try it because I developed a severe allergy to avocado in 1998, but for the rest of you avocado lovers who are brave enough to try it, I thought I would post this. Let me know what you think! I'll live vicariously through you...LOL Enjoy! **This recipe is from Ruth Evans, who has gone to be with Jesus, and was one of my grandmother's closest friends.**

Ingredients For avocado pie

  • 1
    8 inch graham cracker pie crust
  • 1 can
    eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1
    avocado
  • 1/2 c
    lemon juice
  • 1 sm
    container cool whip

How To Make avocado pie

  • 1
    In blender, blend milk and avocado until smooth. Add lemon juice and blend. Pour into pie shell and top with Cool Whip. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
