Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup dates
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted, room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

How To Make autumn pie crust

  • Step 1
In a food processor, pulse finely nuts and oats.
  • Step 2
Then pulse all dry ingredients and dates.
  • Step 3
Further add butter, maple, and vanilla. Pulse well. If too dry, add water as needed.
  • Step 4
In a greased pie tin, press mixture into tin to form crust. Depending on how thick or thin you like it, you may be able to get some tartlet crusts out of any excess.
  • Step 5
If filling with an unbaked dessert, ie sweet potato mousse, place in oven at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Cool before adding filling.
  • Step 6
If using with a filling that needs baking, ie pumpkin pie, pour in filling, then bake together.
