These are mouthwatering delicious. So rich! You can vary the chips also. I've used just regular chocolate and peanut butter but prefer white with chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 4 sticks room temperature butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 - room temperature eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 18 ounces milk chocolate chips

How To Make the best chip bars

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, preferably stand mixer add butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar until incorporated together. Add eggs one at a time on low speed then add vanilla. Slowly start to add flour on low to med speed. You may need to stop and scrape the sides. The batter starts to get thick. Then add the salt and baking soda. Once again make sure everything is mixed well. Add your choice of chips on low speed just until the chips are mixed in. Pour onto ungreased 11 by 17 cookie sheet. I butter my hands slightly to help evenly spread. This recipe is easy to under bake so watch it. The dough should be brown on top and around the edges. Bake at 350 for 20 min.
