super fudge brownies, mrs. field's (my changes)
Not only are these brownies absolutely decadent, but the crumbs in the bottom of the pan are fantastic on top of ice cream! I made this for the first time in June of 95, and it is a definite keeper! I have baked these with other chips on top, so feel free to try whatever ones you like. I think mint chips might be my next choice!

Ingredients
- 6 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla (i added more)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or i have also used peanut butter chips, or toffee chips)

Step 1Oven to 300 degrees. Grease an 8" square pan. Combine unsweetened chocolate and butter in med saucepan and melt over med-low heat, stirring constantly. When pieces are almost melted, remove from heat and stir smooth.

Step 2Beat eggs about 5 min until light yellow in color. Add sugar and blend on low to combine. Add vanilla and chocolate to egg, blend smooth. Add flour, mix. Pour batter into pan. Smooth with spatula and sprinkle with chips. Bake in center of oven 45-55 min. Batter should be set and toothpick in center should come out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Cut and serve chilled.
