Ingredients

  • 6 cups plain flour
  • 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry yogurt
  • 150 grams butter
  • 1 1/2 cups dried fruit, ie sultanas
  • 1 cup sultana bran or similar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

How To Make strawberry scones

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 220c Into one bowl combine, milk, sultana bran, dried fruit, yogurt n sugar. Stir well. Leave to stand as long as possible.
  • Step 2
    Into large bowl combine flour, baking powder n salt, mix well. Grate butter, rub into dry mix.
  • Step 3
    Add wet mix to dry mix, stir in well.
  • Step 4
    Wrap baking paper around oven tray. Lightly flour bench, roll out n cut scones to desired size. Place on oven tray. Bake 12-15 mins at 220c until starts to brown, turn oven off, leave to cook on residual heat 5-10 mins until just cooked thru. Stand 10 mins on tray out of oven, serve, ENJOY! Repeat process as will be none left for tomorrows lunch.
