sour cream banana bread

we have banana trees in our yard, so i make this bread pretty often.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mashed (very ripe) bananas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

How To Make sour cream banana bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Butter loaf pan, set aside. Cream butter and sugar with mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Step 2
    Add eggs to butter/sugar mixture and beat to mix well.
  • Step 3
    In med bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the butter mixture, and mix till just combined.
  • Step 4
    Add bananas, sour cream and vanilla. Mix to combine. Stir in nuts. Pour mixture into prepared loaf pan.
  • Step 5
    Bake about an hour and 10 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean. Let rest in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a rack to cool.
