Ingredients

  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 c
    praline liqueur, divided
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • 1 lb
    dark brown sugar
  • 5
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    bakng powder
  • ·
    cheesecloth for wrapping
  • ·
    foil or airtight tin

How to Make Praline Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. 1. marinate pecans in 1/3 cup liqueur.
  2. 2. cream butter, vanilla and sugar in large mixing bowl.
  3. 3. add eggs and milk.
  4. 4. sift flour,cinnamon and baking powder into mixture. add pecans and liqueur.
  5. 5. pour into 2 greased 5x9 loaf pans and bake in PREHEATED 300 degrees oven for 60-70 mins
  6. 6. cool and wrap in cheese cloth, then poke holes in top of the bread with wooden pick. pour 1/3 cup liqueur over each loaf.
  7. 7. wrap in foil or in air-tight tin.
    AGE THREE DAYS IN REFRIGERATOR. ENJOY!
