Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup praline liqueur, divided
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 pound dark brown sugar
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon bakng powder
  • - cheesecloth for wrapping
  • - foil or airtight tin

How To Make praline bread

  • Step 1
    1. marinate pecans in 1/3 cup liqueur.
  • Step 2
    2. cream butter, vanilla and sugar in large mixing bowl.
  • Step 3
    3. add eggs and milk.
  • Step 4
    4. sift flour,cinnamon and baking powder into mixture. add pecans and liqueur.
  • Step 5
    5. pour into 2 greased 5x9 loaf pans and bake in PREHEATED 300 degrees oven for 60-70 mins
  • Step 6
    6. cool and wrap in cheese cloth, then poke holes in top of the bread with wooden pick. pour 1/3 cup liqueur over each loaf.
  • Step 7
    7. wrap in foil or in air-tight tin. AGE THREE DAYS IN REFRIGERATOR. ENJOY!
