How to Make Poppy Seed Braid
- Mix 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt and yeast. Heat milk, water, and butter in a saucepan with warm. Add to dry ingredients; beat a couple of minutes. Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour. Beat a couple of minutes. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on a floured area until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes.
- Allow to rise again, about 15 minutes. Bake in a 350 oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
