peanut butter squares
I have had this recipe for a long time, and I just found it again. I had a neighbor who gave it to me when our children were young. Laura has since moved away, but I still have fond memories of making these simple squares for our children. Thanks Laura

Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
How To Make peanut butter squares
-
Step 1Mix together the melted butter, peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar. Press mixture firmly into an 8"x8" pyrex dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray, or lined with parchment paper, for easy removal.
-
Step 2Melt chocolate chips and spread over the peanut butter mixture.
-
Step 3Place dish in fridge just until the chocolate sets a bit (about 30 minutes). Slice into small squares and replace dish into the fridge until chocolate is completely set. NOTE: if you let the chocolate completely set before you cut them, you will never be able to cut through the chocolate layer.
