Ingredients
- 1-1/2 teaspoon butter or vegetable oil
- 1-1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 10 peanut butter cups, regular size
- 15 large marshmallows, cut in half
- graham cracker squares
How To Make peanut butter s'mores dip (cast iron)
-
Step 1Place an 8-inch cast iron skillet in oven and preheat to 450ºF. Once oven has preheated, carefully remove skillet with an oven mitt. It will be very HOT!
-
Step 2Put butter or oil in pan and swirl around to coat bottom and sides.
-
Step 3Pour chocolate chips in an even layer on the bottom of the skillet.
-
Step 4Taking care not to burn your fingers on side of skillet, arrange peanut butter cups on top of chocolate chips (see note).
-
Step 5Arrange marshmallow halves on top of the peanut butter cups, covering completely.
-
Step 6Bake in oven for 5 to 7 minutes, or until marshmallows are toasted to your preference (watch closely so they don't burn).
-
Step 7Remove the skillet with the oven mitt and allow to rest for 5 minutes so the residual heat from the cast iron will finish melting the chocolate.
-
Step 8Serve hot with graham cracker squares.
-
Step 9NOTE: It is very easy to burn yourself making this recipe. Cast iron gets incredibly hot, and retains that heat for a very long time. I like to move the peanut butter cups in place using a spoon to push them to the desired location.
