Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    salted, roasted peanuts, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    salted, roasted peanuts, finely chopped

How to Make Peanut Butter Brownies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream 1/2 cup butter and peanut butter; gradually add 1 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixerl Ad eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir well. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in 1/.2 cup chopped peanuts.
  3. Spread batter in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven; let cool slightly in pan on a wire rack.
  4. Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons butter, honey, and milk in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in 1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts.
  5. Spread the topping over warm brownies. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack; cut into squares.
