Made this to help salvage some failed homemade orange marmalade that just wouldn't set.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons very hot water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons gelatin, unflavored
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup orange juice, frozen concentrate
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, or to taste

How To Make orange whipped cream topping

  • Step 1
    In a very small bowl, mix gelatin with 2 Tbsp very hot water. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Put cream cheese and orange juice concentrate in a large mixing bowl. Whip until fluffy and smooth.
  • Step 3
    Add in cream and keep whipping until soft peaks form.
  • Step 4
    Add extracts and zest, continuing to whip.
  • Step 5
    Mix in sugar. Then stir gelatin and whip at high speed until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until ready to use.
