Been making these for some time now,To be honest always bought my shells. My nephew bought me the cannoli tubes for Christmas so I experimented with a few different recipes and came up with this easy easy shell recipe! Because Im all about easy when it comes to cooking.

Ingredients
- - shells
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 tablespoons marsala wine (or white wine)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 - egg
- - filling
- 1 pound ricotta cheese
- 1/2 pound whipping cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon maraschino cherry juice
- 1/2 teaspoon orange rind
- - mini choc chips, cherries, nuts, for decorating
How To Make nana lisa's cannoli's

Step 1For Shells Mix flour and shortening then add rest shell ingredients with a pinch of salt. Roll thin and cut into 3in squares. Wrap around cannoli tubes overlapping and sealed with egg white. Fry in hot oil til golden brown.

Step 2Filling-Whip ricotta and sugar. Mix in rest of ingredients except whipping cream. Whip the cream and fold in ricotta mix, Fill shells and add extras (Choc, nuts etc.) I put filling in piping bag.

Step 3Decorate as desired. Refridgerate for hour to set before serving.
