This is a recipe a friend shared with me after she brought this cool, creamy dessert to a potluck. It's easy and delicious!

Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 cup flour
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- FIRST FILLING
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cool whip
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- SECOND FILLING
- 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding (can use 2 large or 3 small boxes)
- 3 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make mud pie

Step 1For the crust: mix the flour, butter, and chopped pecans. Press into a 9" x 13" pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely.

Step 2For the first filling: Mix all ingredients and spread atop cooled crust.

Step 3For the second filling: Mix all ingredients and spread atop first filling. Spread the rest of the Cool Whip (from the container that you took one cup out of for the first filling) over the second filling. Chill and enjoy!
