If you love maple flavor like I do... here is one recipe that you will enjoy. I serve it in a parfait glass to add a little more sophistication of my original roots. I simply love to dig in it with my long spoon and just savor and enjoy the creamy texture.

Ingredients For mousse a l'erable

  • 2
    egg whites
  • 11/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 1 c
    walnut pieces
  • 1 tsp
    maple flavor

How To Make mousse a l'erable

  • 1
    Cook sugar, water and cream of tartar over double boiler. Constantly beat the mixture until it forms peaks. Remove from heat add flavor and continue to beat until thick. If you wish, you could add the nuts.
