mom's rhubarb supreme

Its rhubarb season in Iowa, when going threw Mom's recipes I found this one, we had a lot of rhubarb to use up back then we had no place to keep it so used it up to make pies and desserts, we had homemade ice cream with this one. Very good

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rhubarb ( cut in 1" pieces)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons minute tapioca
  • 1 cup cherry cake mix ( dry)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)

How To Make mom's rhubarb supreme

  • Step 1
    Mix rhubarb, sugar, and tapioca Pour into a 9x9 square baking dish.( I sprayed mine)
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle the cake mix over the rhubarb mixture, drizzle with melted butter
  • Step 3
    Bake in 350degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Spoon into dishes and serve warm with cream or ice cream.
