Well...I posted the one recipe from my kitchen towels before, "Peppermint Cupcakes", and now I am getting ready to post "3" more from other kitchen towels. I just finished posting "Mom's Special Birthday Cupcakes" NOW am going to post "Mom's Best Bake Sale Brownies"...and the next after this one will be "Mom's Favorite After School Snickerdoodles". I love Kitchen Towels with recipes on them.....everytime I see one, new or old, I have to get it...=;D The pix are of my very own kitchen towels...(By CinStraw)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar (i use either stevia, splenda or truvia)
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetned cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • FROSTING:
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar (i use homemade splenda powdered sugar)
  • PREHEAT OVEN 350°F
  • GREASE AND FLOUR AN 8" SQUARE PAN

How To Make mom's best bake sale brownies...cin

  • Step 1
    In a large saucepan,melt butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • Step 2
    Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Step 3
    Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Step 4
    To Make Frosting: Combine butter, cocoa, honey, vanilla, and confectioners' sugar.
  • Step 5
    Frost brownies while they are still warm.
