Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/8 teaspoon Fleur de Sel
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 1/2 cup maple sugar, sifted
- 9 to 10 tablespoons good quality maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (substitute with pure maple extract)
How To Make maple syrup frosting

Step 1In the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment on, add butter and salt. Whip on high for 4 minutes.

Step 2Working in batches, add 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar and 2 Tbsp maple sugar.

Step 3Process on medium-low until blended, cleaning the sides and the bottom of the bowl as needed. Repeat with the same amounts.

Step 4When the mixture is getting very dry, add half maple syrup and process until the texture is smooth.

Step 5Add the remaining confectioners' sugar, maple sugar, and maple syrup; add pure vanilla extract. Process once again until smooth, cleaning the sides and the bottom of the bowl.
