Don’t bother to waste money any more, this is so easy to do. And very inexpensive to make your own homemade colored sugar for decorating your cakes and cookies. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you. P.S. found these pix on the internet.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (actually i use splenda)
  • 2 - drops food coloring

How To Make making homemade colored sugar (or splenda)

  • Step 1
Place desired amount of sugar in a resealable plastic bag. Add 1 to 3 drops of food coloring. Squeeze out all air, and massage the color into the sugar until no clumps remain (measurements are just a starting point, use as much sugar as needed and drops of food coloring to get desired color).
  • Step 2
NOTE: You can use gel or liquid food coloring. Both work well. Just takes a little more massaging the sugars in the bag to soften them up when using liquid food coloring.
  • Step 3
Including some "Sugar Eggs" for Gail.
