    dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    butterscotch ice cream topping
  • 2 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1 lb
    italian bread
  • 1 c
    honey roasted peanuts
  • 3/4
    melted margarine
  • 1/2 c
    butterscotch syrup
  • CREAM OF SALTED BUTTERSCOTCH
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    margarine
  • 3/4 c
    butterscotch syrup
  • 2 tsp
    sea salt

How To Make salted butterscotch french toast casserole?

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Crack eggs into a large mixing bowl.Combine milk,pudding mix,brown sugar,butterscotch ice cream topping and sea salt

    Whisk together for 5 minutes until blended.Set aside.

    Cut the loaf of italian bread into cubes of approximately one and a half inches.

    Add the bread cubes into egg mixture.Use a rubber spatula to stir until all of bread cubes is coated in the egg mixture.

    Scoop approximately half of bread-egg mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish baking dish and spread out evenly.

    To make Cream of Salted Butterscotch;in a medium saucepan,combine heavy cream,margarine,butterscotch syrup and sea salt over medium heat,stirring constantly for 5 minutes.Remove from heat.

    Spoon cream of salted butterscotch all over the bread-egg mixture.Spoon the half of bread-egg mixture on top.

    Add honey roasted peanuts into a large ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.

    Pour crushed peanuts into a small bowl.Add melted margarine and butterscotch syrup and stir with a fork.
