easy white icing
This is an icing that is used in different bakeries. I "stole" their recipe making them think that they were the only one in the world that were using it.. I really had fun in making them think that they were sooo important.. They were pretending that their icing was a "butter" one...From that day the bakery closed...haha! Have fun at making it...

- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 cups crisco
- 2 cups sugar

- 2 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make easy white icing
-
Step 1In a saucepan mix the flour and milk and cook until thick. Cool. Cream the shortening, sugar and salt for about 5 minutes. Add slowly the cooled milk mixture and the vanilla and beat until fluffy. You also can change the flavor by adding either brandy ,rum, kirch, bourbon and so forth.. Do not forget that you also could use food coloring. Being French I do not use very much food coloring...I love things "NATURAL"!!

Step 2I use it on my banana cake and it is fantastic.

Step 3A good teacher is someone who can understand those not very good at explaining, and explain it to those not very good at understanding. Advice is like snow: the softer it falls, the longer it dwell upon, and a deeper it sinks into the mind.
