Canned Cherry Pie Filling
This recipe can be made with other fruits as well as cherries. You are not limited in any way.
Just process in a hot water bath and your good to go! Easy!
- 7 c
- white sugar
- 2 c
- water or juice from fruit
- 2 box
- cherry jello, 3 ounce
- 6 c
- 2 c
- clear jel
- 7 qt
How to Make Canned Cherry Pie Filling
- 1Put sugar, water and jello in pan and Boil 1 minute - stirring all the time
water and clear jel;
Cook until clear - will be very thick. Will scorch easily - STIR!
Put into canning jars - seal up and process
20 min. in hot water bath.
Note: Can use frozen cherries.
This recipe can be used for other fruits also. You may not need as much sugar, adjust accordingly. Use different flavored jello to match fruit used.
