Ingredients

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1 2/3 c
    confectioners sugar
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1 pkg
    vanilla caramels
  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 6 oz
    package semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Candy Bar Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Crust:
    Combine cake mix, oil, and egg in a bowl..use pastry blender. Spread evenly over bottom of 13 x 9 baking pan.
    Bake 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes
  3. Combine caramels and evaporated milk in a double boiler until melted stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in confectioners sugar and spread over warm crust.
  4. Melt chocolate in double boiler and spread thinly over caramel
  5. Refrigerate and cut into bars when cool
