Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup oil
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 2/3 cups confectioners sugar
1 large egg
1 package vanilla caramels
1/3 cup butter
6 ounces package semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make candy bar cookies

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2

Crust: Combine cake mix, oil, and egg in a bowl..use pastry blender. Spread evenly over bottom of 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes
Step 3

Combine caramels and evaporated milk in a double boiler until melted stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in confectioners sugar and spread over warm crust.
Step 4

Melt chocolate in double boiler and spread thinly over caramel
Step 5

Refrigerate and cut into bars when cool
