- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1In a large bowl, beat the powdered sugar, butter, and shortening with an electric mixer on low speed until well blended. Beat in milk and vanilla on medium speed until smooth. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before using. Makes 3 cups of frosting.
