    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 qt
    milk

    vanilla to taste

How to Make Boiled Custard

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat eggs well; add sugar with cornstarch. Stir in milk.
  2. Cook in a double boiler, stirring constantly. Cook until the custard coats spoon.
  3. Cool and add vanilla to taste. Keep refrigerated.
