Ingredients
- 1 bag 12 oz chocolate chips, semi sweet
- 1 can 14 oz sweetened, condensed milk
- 1 cup and additional 3 tablespoon softened butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
- 1 3/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1 tablespoon additional pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped walnuts divided
How To Make bliss bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2grease 13"x9" Pyrex baking dish

Step 3Over medium heat combine chips, milk and butter until melted and smooth.

Step 4Stir in 1 cup walnuts and vanilla. Remove from heat.

Step 5In a large bowl combine flour, brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla---mix well.

Step 6With mixer at low speed add eggs and mix until combined.

Step 7Increase speed to medium and mix for 3 minutes.

Step 8With a spoon, fold in oats, and remaining walnuts.

Step 9Press 1/2 of the dough mixture into the bottom of your baking dish.

Step 10Spread chocolate mixture over dough layer.

Step 11Drop remaining dough mixture on top of chocolate layer and try to spread as evenly as possible.

Step 12Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Step 13Cool on wire rack.

Step 14Once cooled you can cut into bars, squares, whatever you wish.
