Apricot Bars

This is another great recipe that I found on one of my favorite websites called Heavenly Homemakers.
I love how it includes whole grains & healthy fats.

  • 1 c
    butter, melted
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    milk or buttermilk
  • 2 large
  • 2 c
    whole wheat flour (i used freshly ground)
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    shredded coconut
  • 1/4 c
    sesame seeds
  • 3/4 c
    dried apricots, cut into small pieces

How to Make Apricot Bars


  1. Combine the honey & butter in a bowl.
  2. Add baking soda, salt, vanilla, milk & eggs.
  3. Stir in flour, oats, coconut & sesame seeds.
  4. Fold in apricot pieces.
  5. Spread into a greased 13x9 baking pan & bake at 350' for about 25 minutes.
  6. Cool & cut into bars.
