I found this recipe on the Internet and thought it was perfect for Thanksgiving! I tried it and loved it! And what's great about this snack is that its healthy too! This is a no-bake recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup kellogg's all-bran cereal
  • 1/3 cup plain pumpkin puree
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups instant oatmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds - toasted

How To Make acorn bites

  • Step 1
    In a medium size bowl, stir together the first 7 ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Then chill the dough while your melting the chocolate.
  • Step 3
    Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper.
  • Step 4
    Remove chilled dough from fridge and form into about 20-24 one inch oblong shaped balls.
  • Step 5
    Dip one end of the shaped dough into the melted chocolate then dip into the toasted sesame seeds. Place a piece of the All-Bran cereal into the top to form a stem. Do this for all the dough balls. Then chill until ready to serve.
