A refreshing ice cream for these hot summer months!! Cook time is freezer time, not cook time.

Ingredients

  • 4 packages frozen raspberries in syrup, partially thawed (10 ounces each)
  • 4 cups half and half
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make raspberry ice cream

  • Step 1
    Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl; stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Step 2
    Pour the mixture into the freezer container of a 5-quart hand-turned or electric ice cream freezer.
  • Step 3
    Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pack freezer with additional ice and rock salt, and let stand 1 hour before serving.
