I read an article in a magazine that suggested mixing canned pumpkin with yogurt to add flavor and nutrients. After doing this, I decided to experiment a bit...and it turned out delicious!

32 ozlow-fat plain yogurt

15 ozcanned pumpkin

1 tspvanilla extract

1/4 csugar (can substitute honey)

1 tspground cinnamon

1/2 tspground nutmeg

1/2 Tbspground ginger
How To Make pumpkin pie frozen yogurt

1Mix all ingredients together.

2Place in an ice cream maker and let mix for 20 minutes or until thickened to desired consistency. Depending on the size of your ice cream machine, you may have to work in two batches. I used the Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker.

3Serve with ginger snaps, granola, or graham crackers.
