We grew up with this homemade ice cream and still make it for special days. It is the best homemade ice cream I've tasted, however, it does contain raw eggs, which some of you may be reluctant to use.

Ingredients
- 6 - eggs, beaten untl fluffy
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 pint half and half (may use up to 2 pints)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons real vanilla extract (or 5 tbls. artificial)
- 1 pinch salt
- - whole milk
How To Make mom's homemade ice cream

Step 1To the well beaten eggs, add remaining ingredients and beat thoroughtly. Pour into ice cream freezer can and add whole milk until the can is 3/4 full. Crank and freeze per your freezer instructions.
