The temps are rising in Cali right now and this is a refreshing and light dessert that hits the spot! Ahhh! Tastes like frozen lemonade!

Ingredients
- 6 large lemons, freshly squeezed, about 1/2-1 3/4 c juice
- 4 cups water
- 1/2-1 cup sugar, + more if you want it sweeter
- 2 tablespoons lemon, raspberry, or orange flavored liqueur. malibu would work well too
How To Make lemon granita

Step 1In a medium bowl combine lemon juice, water, sugar, and liqueur and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Step 2Strain mixture into a baking dish large enough so that the liquid is no more than 1 inch deep.

Step 3Freeze mixture for 1 hour. Remove mixture and scrape with a fork to break it up a little. Put it back into the freezer for 3-4 hours, or until frozen solid continuing to scrape every hour or so.

Step 4When Granita is frozen, scoop into little dishes and serve immediately.
