Ingredients
- 1 quart milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/3 - envelope unflavored gelatin
- 7 - egg yolks
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
How To Make grandma's ice cream

Step 1Heat milk, sugar and salt to scalding.

Step 2Beat egg yolks with water, add to milk mixture. Remove from heat

Step 3Dissolve gelatin in small amount of water, add to milk mixture. Add cream and vanilla. Beat with beater til thoroughly mixed.

Step 4Put in freezer safe container and freeze.

Step 5Before completely frozen, take out and beat again until mixed and smooth. Freeze thoroughly.
