cheaters green tea ice cream
Updated on Jul 23, 2015
I love Haagen-Dazs Green Tea ice cream. LOVE. It's such a delicate flavor & tastes extra creamy - like cream not just a textural creamy. I can't always find it so I got some vanilla ice cream and added my own green tea. :) And some extra cream. :) :) We all loved it. Now I can buy more economical larger containers of vanilla and make green tea ice cream whenever I want! Posted for Culinary Quest 2 - 2015

Ingredients
- 1 pint your favorite vanilla ice cream
- 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 2-4 tablespoons heavy cream, cold
How To Make cheaters green tea ice cream
-
Step 1Soften ice cream just enough to get it out of the container & transfer it to a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.
-
Step 2Add 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder that has been sifted. Otherwise there may be wee clumps that aren't BAD but the ice cream would be better without.
-
Step 3Beat until smooth, adding a couple tablespoons of cream until it is very creamy.
-
Step 4Beat until well incorporated, scraping sides as necessary with a spatula. It will be very soft so refreeze or eat immediately.
