How To Make best homemade granola
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 250 degrees
-
Step 2Spray a 15X10 baking sheet (jelly roll pan) with nonstick cooking spray
-
Step 3In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients, oats, flour, brown sugar, almond slices, cinnamon, and nutmeg
-
Step 4In a microwave safe bowl combine wet ingredients, honey, butter, peanut butter (if using) and microwave until butter is melted. Stir and then add vanilla.
-
Step 5Pour melted mixture over oat mixture, stir well
-
Step 6Spread into your baking dish and make sure it is spread out well.
-
Step 7Bake for 70-75 minutes, stir or flip half way through. Towards the end it will smell a little too done but mine has always been fine.
-
Step 8When its finished it will still be a little soft, stir and break it up a couple times as its cooling and it will crisp up. I store mine in a gallon size Ziploc bag but any air tight container will work. You can add dried fruit at this point as you are mixing it up!
