This is a real summer time treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 2-1/2 can evaporated milk
  • - add whole milk to evaporated milk to equal 6 cups milk
  • 1-1/2 pint sour cream, 3 cups
  • 3 cups fresh mixed berries, blueberries, strawberries and other seasonal berries

How To Make berry ice cream

  • Step 1
    With a food processor, chop the berries until fine. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients except berries and pour into ice cream freezer. When the ice cream begins to harden, open the freezer and add the chopped berries. Close the freezer and continue to mix until hardened. (We have good results when we add the berries at the same time the other ingredients are poured into the freezer.)
  • Step 3
    (This recipe makes 1-1/2 gallons of ice cream.)
