1you will need a 14' cast iron dutch oven for out side.over the fire cooking
in a small bowl soak raisins in whiskey for 30 min,stirring often.
in a large mixing bowl combine butter,raisins whiskey,nuts,apricots,cinnamon, and brown sugar.
2peel 1/3 of the top on each apple.brush peeled edges with some limon juice. core apples,leaving bottoms intact,brush with lemon juice inside. stuff each apple with filling.
3place bakers rack in dutch oven. place stuffed apples on bakers rack in dutch oven. pour white wine in dutch oven. Cover and bake 30 min over medium heat,add top coals and bake till apples are tender.
you can bake in the oven set at 350 for 40-50 min.
4serve warm with ice cream on top,and caramel topping
