This is a summer favorite in our house. It's such a great play on sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy textures.

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups coarsely chopped pretzels
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
  • 12 ounces light cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 large package of frozen strawberries, sliced
  • 3/4 package large cool whip
  • 1 large package of strawberry jello
  • 2 cups pineapple juice

How To Make sweet and salty strawberry pretzel dessert

  • Step 1
    Mix pretzels and butter and press into a 9"x13" pan. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
  • Step 2
    Beat cream cheese and sugar together, then spread over the still warm pretzel crust. Let mixture cool.
  • Step 3
    Dissolve the strawberry jello in boiling pineapple juice, add the frozen sliced strawberries. Pour over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Step 4
    Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until gelatin is set. Before serving, spread cool whip over the strawberry jello layer.
