How to Make Susan's Fried Apples
- Core the apples but don't peel. Slice them into wedges, then cut each wedge into several thin slices. Mix together the brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add apples, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon mixture. Continue to cook and stir until apples are very soft.
- Just before serving, drizzle on the sorghum and give it a quick stir.
- These are great served with oatmeal for breakfast, or over vanilla ice cream for dessert. They also make a great side dish to a meal, which is how I normally serve them.
