summer berry gallette
I came across this sweet, easy dessert. Lots of berries and a crisp sweet crust makes this dessert very tasty. Very few ingredients are needed to make it. I made this for my small group that has young ladies in it. I like to cook simple meals in this small group. The gals really loved it! I used blueberries, but you could use any fruit.

Ingredients
- 1 - premade pie crust (thawed if frozen)
- 2 cups fresh fruit, cut in small pieces
- 1/4 cup sugar, plus more for sprinkling
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 large egg
How To Make summer berry gallette

Step 1Lay out the pie crust onto a greased cooking stone. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2In a medium bowl, combine the fruit, sugar, cornstarch, lemon, vanilla, and pecans. Mix well.

Step 3Add the mixture to the center of the crust. Spread the mixture out leaving 2 inches bare around the edges. Fold up the edges close to the fruit, pleating as you go to keep it in a round shape.

Step 4Crack the egg into a small bowl and whisk. Brush the egg wash onto the outside of the pleaded crust then sprinkle with a little more sugar.

Step 5Bake 18 to 20 minutes. Gently remove from the oven and let cool about 10 minutes.
