MY DEAREST FRIEND KAREN NUG. LOTS ALOT OF WEIGHT AND SHE LOVES OATMEAL NUTTS AND EVERY KIND OF FRUITY .SO FOR HER TRAINING ,SHE NEEDS LOTS OF HEALTHY snacks on the run. SO I DID THIS ONE FOR HER .

Ingredients

  • 2 small or 1 very ripe banana
  • 2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
  • 3 tablespoons light butter
  • 2 large eggs ( or egg beaters)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all- purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup raisins or currants
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup walnuts

How To Make (snacks on the run.) oatmeal high fiber cookies

  • Step 1
    PREHEAT OVEN TO 350* . COMBINE bananas , applesauce, butter,eggs, and vanilla .
  • Step 2
    IN LARGE BOWL MIX TOGETHER OATMEAL , flour, baking soda salt,spices and currants ,or raisins.
  • Step 3
    ADD COMBINED FRUIT MIXTURE TO DRY INGREDIENTS,UNTIL JUST BLENDED. DROP by round tablespoonfuls ,onto ungreased cookie sheets. BAKE IT FOR 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 4
    ENJOY IT AND CUT INTO BARS SHAPE AND STORE IT IN A TIGHT CONTANER
