Ingredients
- 2 small or 1 very ripe banana
- 2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
- 3 tablespoons light butter
- 2 large eggs ( or egg beaters)
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all- purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup raisins or currants
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup walnuts

Step 1PREHEAT OVEN TO 350* . COMBINE bananas , applesauce, butter,eggs, and vanilla .

Step 2IN LARGE BOWL MIX TOGETHER OATMEAL , flour, baking soda salt,spices and currants ,or raisins.

Step 3ADD COMBINED FRUIT MIXTURE TO DRY INGREDIENTS,UNTIL JUST BLENDED. DROP by round tablespoonfuls ,onto ungreased cookie sheets. BAKE IT FOR 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 4ENJOY IT AND CUT INTO BARS SHAPE AND STORE IT IN A TIGHT CONTANER
