There's nothing better in Fall than apple dishes! This recipe came to me many years ago from a friend in Maine. It was the best apple crisp I'd ever had -- then and since. It has the perfect balance of crumble to apples, and a perfect blend of spices, in just the right amount. The no-longer-secret ingredient is the perfect finishing touch. This crumble is just perfection! The recipe is very simple, and easy to multiply for a crowd. Or, make one for you, and one for a friend!
