roasted pear sauce
(1 RATING)
As a Weight Watcher, I am always looking for something different - and sweet, so as I passed the pears on sale this week the idea of pear sauce instead of applesauce came to me. It is absolutely divine!

How To Make roasted pear sauce
-
Step 1Wash pears. Put into a roasting pan.
-
Step 2Bake for about an hour in a 350 degree oven. You can tell the pears are ready when you insert a sharp knife and turn it. If the pear is mushy, it's ready. Remove from the oven.
-
Step 3Scoop the pears into a food mill or a potato ricer to remove the skins, seeds, and stems. Add cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
-
Step 4This is wonderful chilled with whipped cream. Great for babies and children. Try doing this with your favorite apples. No sugar needed.
