I, myself, have not made this, but have eaten it. This recipe and these amounts serve about 100 people. This is quick,& easy to prepare and very tasty. As I have never made this myself, I dont know, but I am almost positive that substitutions can be made, maybe substitute fruit cocktail for mandarin oranges. Let imagination fly. Hope some one can use this.

Ingredients

  • 10 cans - 20 oz each, pineapple chunks, drained
  • 10 cans - 21 oz each, peach pie filling
  • 10 cans - 11 oz each, mandarin oranges, drained
  • 5 cups - each red and green marischino cherries, drained
  • 10 cups - sliced bananas, add bananas last

How To Make quick fruit salad

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients, except bananas. Chill until ready to serve. Cover and refrigerate.
  • Step 2
    Just before serving, fold in bananas. Serve with dollop of whipped topping.
  • Step 3
    This recipe seems very forgiving. As I said, I believe it would be fine to make substitutions or to add different items.
