Ingredients

4 slice
fresh pineapple, 1/2 inch thick each
2 tsp
granulated sugar (see note)
1/4 c
ruby port (or madeira)
fresh mint leaves, for garnish

How to Make Pineapple with Port (Ananas ao Porto)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place each slice pineapple on dessert plate; sprinkle with sugar. NOTE: If pineapple is very sweet, omit the sugar.
  • 2Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the port over each pineapple slice. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  • 3Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
