peach kuchen (cobbler)
This is an old recipe that I have used for years. It is a German version of a peach cobbler. The recipe calls for an 11X7 inch pan, but I have successfully also used a deep 9" pie pan. You just have to adjust the baking time, making it longer.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cans (one 29 oz., one 15 1/4 oz.) sliced peaches, drained
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 cup sour cream
How To Make peach kuchen (cobbler)

Step 1In a small bowl combine flour, confectioners sugar, and salt.

Step 2Cut in butter to form a dough.

Step 3Pat lightly into an ungreased 11x7 baking pan.

Step 4Arrange peaches over the crust; set aside.

Step 5In another bowl, beat eggs.

Step 6Whisk in the sugar, salt, flour and sour cream until mixture is smooth.

Step 7Pour over the peaches.

Step 8Bake at 450* for 10 minutes.

Step 9Reduce heat to 325*; bake 35 minutes more or until center is set.

Step 10Serve warm with ice cream.

Step 11Store in the refrigerator.
