peach dumplings (sugar free)
(1 RATING)
This recipe is a camping favorite, because it's super easy to make in a dutch oven. It works well on the stove top, too. This is a big family favorite and there are never any leftovers!

Ingredients
- 2 cans unsweetened peaches, do not drain
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 cup splenda
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
How To Make peach dumplings (sugar free)
-
Step 1Roll each biscuit somewhat flat (not going for prettiness or evenness since we are making dumplings). Slice each rolled biscuit into bite-sized strips. In a dutch oven, combine the peaches, juice, milk, Splenda, and butter.
-
Step 2Heat over medium heat just to boiling. When the mixture begins to boil, drop the dumplings in one at a time. Let simmer about 15 minutes. If the juice is not thick enough for your taste, mix a small amount of corn starch with cold water and stir in the hot mixture until thickened to suit you.
