Peach cobbler with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream on top just screams summer time to me! This is my favorite summer treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced

How To Make peach cobbler

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. While oven is warming, add butter to your baking pan and place into the oven to melt. Remove pan from the oven when butter has melted.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large mixing bowl. Next add milk and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Once butter has melted, evenly distribute peaches into the bottom of baking dish. Next pour cobbler batter evenly over peaches.
  • Step 4
    Place baking dish in oven and bake 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden brown and a wooden toothpick inserted into the center will come out clean. Serve cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
