Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4 c
    fresh peaches, peeled and diced

How to Make Peach Cobbler

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. While oven is warming, add stick of butter to your baking pan and place into the oven to melt. Remove pan from the oven when butter has melted.
  2. Meanwhile, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large mixing bowl. Next add milk and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and mix well.
  3. Once butter has melted, evenly distribute peaches into the bottom of baking dish. Next pour cobbler batter evenly over peaches.
  4. Place baking dish in oven and bake 45 minutes or until done. When done, crust will become golden brown and a wooden toothpick inserted into the center will come out clean. Serve cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
