Ingredients
- FILLING
- 1/4 pound 1 stick butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- - pinch of salt
- 8 - ripe peaches, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup water or brandy
- CRUST
- 4 tablespoons 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk or fruit juice
How To Make peach cobbler

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Step 2To prepare the filling, melt the butter in a medium size saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the sugar, flour, and salt mix well.

Step 3Add the peaches and the water. Stir and heat thoroughly, about 5 minutes.

Step 4Pour into a greased, deep 9 by 9 inch casserole dish and set aside.

Step 5To prepare crust, in a medium sized mixing bowl cream the butter with the sugar, then add the flour, baking powder, salt, and milk or juice.

Step 6Pour the batter over the peaches and bake for 1 hour or until golden brown.
